This process was re-invented 3 years ago and Bharat Salt Co. is the largest producer of Sun dried salt in Rajasthan with an annual capacity of 100,000 Ton.  The product from this process is usually used as filler in the detergent industry.

In this process, the raw salt crystals are spread out on a large bed which is made out of salt for preliminary drying, after which once the required level of moisture content is achieved the salt is passed through roller grinders. Post which it is spread out again for an additional drying post which it would be passed through rotary sieves to achieve the desired level of particle size and packed into bags.
